How do you win at the game of life? What's the normal view? Having your own band? Your own jet? Owning the most toys? A loving family and a white picket fence? $1 Million or $100 Million? You just can't win with the world's standards. It's impossible because there's no way to nail it down and it's never enough. It's also constantly changing depending on whom you talk to and the latest fad. So how can that be the truth?

Christ came to earth to let us win at the game of life. He provided the way to true success in this life, and the life beyond. His truth is timeless and never changes. His love for us is incredible and was shown to us as He died on the cross for all of our sins. All we have to do is accept His gift of forgiveness and turn our hearts toward Him. That's called repentance. We turn away from our sins and selfish goals and seek His way. Then we have won!! It's done. The game is over. We have won at the game of life! Everything else pales in comparison.

But then what? Now what do we do? How do we grow in our relationship with Christ and express our gratitude for His love, grace and mercy on us? What do we do with this newfound freedom?

Welcome to the purpose of Get-a-Grip. It's about anchoring our thoughts and choices - our whole outlook - on real truth. With a solid base we can be prepared to recognize and seize the opportunities that are all around us in our work, play and relationships. Who are you going to lean on? What is the source for your decisions?

God created you and me in His own image! He wants us to be fulfilled, and complete the mission that fits us perfectly, with the power and freedom to make choices, and use our talents and skills and interests for His glory. Talk about potential! Talk about power! Tap in and go for it. My prayer is that you will have a truly amazing life filled with God's miracles and grace.
